Discover the Montayral Ferry, a unique and spectacular structure located on the Fumel Dam, in the heart of the Lot Valley. A true technical feat, this ferry allows boats to cross the dam using an ingenious belt-lift system. The boats are lifted out of the water, transported a few dozen meters, and then lowered back into the water on the other side of the dam. This innovative solution restores navigational continuity on the Lot River. It now connects the various navigable sections of the Lot and offers recreational boaters a route of approximately 130 km between Aiguillon, in Lot-et-Garonne, and Luzech, in the Lot. Launching from a trailer is also possible.
